What you'll experience
Marrejan will introduce you to the restorative power of Yin Yoga practice. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced yogi, you will be able to change your body structure and help yourself heal.
In the set of four sessions, you will concentrate primarily on:
- Hamstring Release
- Hip Opening
- Core and Lower Back Release
- Full Body Flow
Learn how to introduce the Yin element into your life. “Yin Yoga” comes from the Taoist tradition. Yang relates to (often repetitive) movement engaging the muscles, creating heat in the body. Yin is about finding stillness and cooling.
We need both Yin and Yang to balance and stay in optimum condition. Yet, in the modern world, we tend to value Yang practices more - activity and mobility. Yin represents purity, emptiness and shedding what is not needed.
Space and Strength in The Joints
In this course, you will focus on patience and alignment. You will hold asanas (postures) for longer periods, enabling you to access fascia and connective tissue and create space and strength in the joints.
Mental and Emotional Rest and Relaxation
On a mental and emotional level, the practice allows the body to drop down into the parasympathetic nervous system and therefore becomes deeply healing and nourishing. You will find yourself more grounded, calmer and revitalised.

Born in Amsterdam, Marrejan first started visiting Ibiza with her parents aged 12, moving to the island aged 20, then travelling the world seeking the freedom of a life without boundaries. On her return to Ibiza she managed several businesses, but her heart was telling her to find a deeper path.
Following her intuition to connect with mindfulness, philosophy and practice of Yoga, she has transformed her life. At the age of 60, after many years of study and practise, she became a Yoga teacher, bringing an awareness and fulfilment that has brought together the many threads of her life.
